The Lewiston Auburn Clean Water Authority, referred to as “LACWA” is a quasi-municipal entity responsible for the wastewater treatment system that serves the cities of Lewiston and Auburn and other surrounding communities.
The organization’s old website was in desperate need of a redesign. They wanted a new website that was easy for the public to use and communicated the information they had to share and in a responsive, mobile-friendly way. LACWA also had members of the teams in-house that assist with ongoing management of the website, meaning they needed a site that easy for them to make edits to.
LACWA’s new website was built to prioritize mobile devices. to accommodate the ever increasing amount of users who use their phones over a desktop computer. Site architecture and hierarchy makes use of pillar pages with a sub-page feed list for ease of navigation and for SEO best-practice. Since the LACWA posts a number of available PDF downloads, these were organized using a toggle module to keep the page light on scroll and offer the user the option to select exactly what they need. The site also makes great use of an accordion module that provides a similar user experience to communicate frequently asked questions.
With the new site launched, LACWA has the keys to their new website to make their own edits as needed. They know that NorthView Digital will always be here to help if they need assistance with further website design or website management.
