The Windsor Fair is a fair and festival located in Windsor, ME that many Mainers are very familiar with. Some of the exciting events you’ll find at the fair consist of Harness Racing, Woodsman Day and Truck & Tractor Pulls. The fair also boasts featured Entertainment and holds more traditional Exhibitions.
For the fair, it is vital that they are able to effectively communicate to their target audience. The current website had an abundance of formatting issues, was not optimized for mobile usage and did not follow website design best practices. They needed a new website that was mobile friendly and would allow users to easily find information on all the great events that are held each year.
The new website was built with a mobile-first mindset while not forgetting to keep the site well optimized for desktop and other screen sizes. When navigating though the new site, users have a significantly improved ability to access important links and information they are looking for. As a standard best practice for site navigation and SEO, Pillar pages were implemented, such as the Exhibitions page, to serve as a link tree to support easy access to relative links.
Now that the new site has launched, the fair needed someone to assist with maintenance and management to keep the site up to date and running without any hiccups.
