The monthly price covers the build itself plus hosting, updates, backups, security and your ongoing edits, so there is no separate care plan on top. The saving applies for as long as both are running. There is no extra contract and no new minimum term: your website keeps its twelve month minimum, and SEO and the Reviews Engine stay month to month.
Nothing happens to the website. Both are month to month, so you can stop either whenever you like, and your site simply returns to its standard rate of $175 or $275 a month with hosting, updates, backups, security and your edits all still included.

You get an emailed invoice and you can pay it by ACH bank transfer or by credit card. Invoices go out on the same date each month so the billing date never moves around on you.
Yes. Autopay can be set up on either ACH or card so you are not approving the same invoice every month.
Billing starts when the project starts, not when the site launches. The build is the first month of work, so the first invoice covers it.
A $25 late fee is added if an invoice is still unpaid seven days past its due date. If it reaches thirty days past due, service is suspended until the account is brought current. I would always rather hear from you than send a late notice. If something is going on, tell me and we will work it out.
This one matters, so it is worth being plain about it. Hosting is part of your subscription, which means your site stays online because the subscription is being paid.
If payments stop, service is suspended at thirty days past due and you have three months from that point to bring the account current. If nothing is received in those three months, the site comes down when the hosting runs out.
When that happens I zip up the full contents of your site, files and database, and send you the file, so you keep everything that was built. Nothing is deleted out from under you and nothing is held hostage. But a site that nobody is paying to host cannot stay online indefinitely, and I would rather you knew that from the beginning than found out at the worst moment.
Your rate is locked for your minimum term. After that, if a price ever changes you get at least thirty days written notice before it takes effect.
Only work you have approved. Anything outside what your plan covers gets quoted first, in writing, and nothing starts until you say yes. You will never find a surprise line item on an invoice.
Before a site launches, if we are still in the design phase and you decide not to continue, you are refunded what you have paid less the work already completed, and we part on good terms. Once a site is live, past months are not refundable, because that is service you have already received. What you can always do is cancel going forward under the terms below.
Yes, a simple one. Twelve months minimum, then it continues month to month until you tell me otherwise. Twelve months exists because the build happens up front and is paid for over the term. Without a minimum, the arrangement only works in my favor if someone leaves in month two.
The remaining months of the minimum term become due. That is not a penalty, it is the balance of a site that was built up front and billed over a year. After the minimum term there is nothing to pay out. You give notice and stop.
Email me with thirty days notice. No phone tree, no retention script, no form buried three levels deep. I will also help you move the site wherever you want it to go.
Yes. The design, the content, the images and the site itself are yours. There is no rented template and no platform that owns your pages. If you leave, you take the site with you.
Because owning the site and hosting the site are two different things. You own the files, and you get them whenever you ask. The subscription is what keeps those files on a server, updated, backed up and secured. Stop the subscription and the hosting ends with it. You keep everything, but it is then on you to put it somewhere. Most people who leave move it to another host and it keeps running.
You do, in your own account and in your own name, and I would recommend that even if you never work with me. I am happy to manage the DNS side of it, but the registration should always be yours.
No, and that is deliberate. There is no balloon payment and no pay-off-the-build figure sitting in the background, because you already own the site. The only thing the minimum term obligates is the twelve months.
A complete export: the WordPress files and the database, zipped, plus your images and any source files for logos or graphics I created for you. That package will run on any standard WordPress host.
Yes. It is WordPress, not a proprietary builder, so any WordPress developer can pick it up. That is one of the main reasons I build on it.
Because it is the only common option where you genuinely own what gets built. WordPress runs a large share of the web, it runs on any host, and every developer knows it, so you are never stuck with one agency or one platform. It also gives far more control over the things that decide whether you rank: page speed, schema, redirects, URL structure and content depth. Site builders make the first week easier and the next five years harder.
An unmaintained WordPress site is insecure, and that describes most of the horror stories. A maintained one is not. Core, theme and plugin updates, off-site backups, security monitoring and a sensible plugin diet are exactly what your monthly covers, and it is the reason I do not sell a site without the care attached.

If customers come to you from within driving distance, it is the highest-return SEO work there is.
