Fast, scalable WordPress sites built around how L-A customers actually buy.

Lewiston and Auburn function as one economy, and the searching splits three ways. Some people type Lewiston, some type Auburn, and some type Lewiston-Auburn or L-A and let Google work it out. Those are three different results pages, and a site built around only one of those names quietly misses part of its own market.
The goal is to rank for all three, not just the hyphenated version. The service pages, the profile and the content each have to earn Lewiston on its own, Auburn on its own, and the pairing, without turning into keyword soup. Unglamorous work, and it is what moves this market. I already work in it: Lewiston Auburn Clean Water Authority is a NorthView client.
Fast, scalable WordPress sites built around how L-A customers actually buy.
Ranking work aimed at both Lewiston and Auburn, not one or the other.
The profile that decides whether you show up in the L-A map pack at all.
Updates, backups, security and speed handled under an ongoing WebCare plan.
Logo, identity and the design work that keeps everything looking like one business.
LACWA serves both cities, which is exactly the problem this page is about. One organization, one service area, and an audience that does not agree on what to call it. Everything from the site structure to the way the service pages are written has to work for someone typing Lewiston and someone typing Auburn.
It is a NorthView client, and it is the clearest example I have of building for a market that shares an economy but not a search term.

You are working directly with someone who has spent years building and ranking sites for Maine businesses. I build the site, run the search work, manage the profile and answer the phone, so nothing gets lost between departments. In a twin-city market that matters, because the naming decisions run through the build, the content and the profile all at once.
I am based in West Gardiner, about forty minutes away, and I already work in this market.
Both, in almost every case, but not by pasting both names into every sentence. In practice it means service pages that earn one name naturally, supporting content that earns the other, and a Google Business Profile and service area set up to cover the pair. Done properly a visitor never notices it.
Often, but not reliably, and the gap costs you. Proximity is a real ranking factor in the map pack, so an Auburn address starts at a disadvantage for someone searching from downtown Lewiston. That is fixable with profile setup and content, and it is worth doing deliberately rather than hoping.
Yes, meaningfully. Fewer businesses here are doing the search work properly, so the fundamentals go further and results usually come faster. The catch is the split market. The businesses that compete well here are the ones that stopped treating the two cities as one search term.
Yes. Lewiston Auburn Clean Water Authority is a client, and that kind of work has its own demands: clear public information, accessibility, and content that has to be correct rather than persuasive. It is a different job from selling a service, and I am happy doing either.
