I’m Mike Hersom. I started NorthView Digital in 2018, and I’ve spent the years since building and looking after WordPress sites for Maine businesses: first websites for new trades and contractors, full redesigns for established companies that had outgrown what they had, and the ongoing SEO and website management that keeps them earning afterwards.
Before NorthView I worked as a marketing manager, running campaigns and handling the website side of the business. That’s where the SEO and analytics half of what I do comes from. I came to web design from marketing rather than the other way round, which is why I care more about whether a site brings in work than whether it wins design awards.
I hold an MBA in marketing from Thomas College in Waterville, and I’m a Gardiner native. Most of the businesses I work with are in the same towns I grew up in: excavation and concrete crews, lawn care, pools, real estate, insurance, associations and fairs.
I still design and build every site myself. Hire NorthView and you aren’t handed to an account manager or a ticket queue.
