Structured Data and Schema
Service, FAQ, LocalBusiness and Organization markup, so an engine reading your site knows what you do, where you do it and who you are. Without it, the machine is guessing from prose.

AI search optimization is the work that makes your business easy for AI assistants to find, understand and repeat. When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google’s AI answers who they should hire, the engine builds its reply from sources it trusts. This work is about becoming one of them.
It is not a replacement for SEO, it is a layer on top of it, and it only holds up if the foundation underneath is sound. Most of what moves the needle here (clean structure, consistent business details, content that answers real questions) improves your ordinary rankings at the same time.
Four stages, and you hear from me as each one moves.

The work here is the same work that makes a site trustworthy to Google in the first place: accurate structured data, content that answers the question it claims to answer, and business details that match wherever they appear. Nothing is invented to game a model.
That matters more with an AI assistant than with a search engine. An assistant reads your site to decide what to say about you, so anything vague, contradictory or overstated becomes a reason to name someone else instead. Getting the fundamentals right is the whole strategy.
Added to an existing SEO engagement rather than sold on its own, because the two are the same work aimed at two surfaces. Schema, answer content and entity cleanup carry on as your services, pages and listings change.

We have been using NorthView Digital for over four years now. We are a very small non-profit with only three employees. Mike is always very responsive to any of our requests. He stays on top of our website for us. We can not say enough about the value we receive from having Mike handling our website.
SEO gets you ranked in a list of links. AEO gets your content pulled out as the direct answer. GEO gets you cited inside an AI-generated response. In practice they are layers rather than rivals, and all three stand on the same foundation.
No, and neither can anyone else. There is no ranking system to buy into and no submission form. What can be done is make your business the clearest, most consistent and best-evidenced answer available. Whether an assistant picks it up is outside anyone’s control.
No, and I would be wary of anyone who promises to. There is no trustworthy data set for AI answers, no volumes and no rankings. What you get from me is a clear record of the work done on your site and listings, not numbers I cannot stand behind.
Most likely as an add-on rather than a replacement. Strong SEO already does much of the job, because these engines lean on the same signals. The usual gaps are schema, answer-shaped content, and business details that disagree across directories.
It matters more for local businesses than for most. When someone asks an assistant for a recommendation nearby, it leans on Google Business Profile, directories, reviews and forums. Those are winnable, and a small business can beat a national brand there.
Usually not. It runs as part of an existing SEO engagement rather than as its own line item, because it is the same work aimed at a different surface. If the site has bigger problems underneath, those come first.
