Service Overview

The audit is a paid, fixed-scope piece of work that tells you why your website and your Google presence are not producing leads. I crawl the site, compare you against the businesses currently outranking you, check your Google Business Profile, and read your content the way a search engine does.

You get a prioritized list in plain language: what is wrong, what it is costing you, and what order to fix it in. It is written as the opening stage of the work rather than a standalone document, so once you approve the priorities we start working through them together.

What the audit answers

Every audit includes

WHAT THE AUDIT COVERS

Four checks, one prioritized list

Technical Crawl

Every page checked for the things that quietly block rankings: speed, crawl errors, broken links, thin or duplicate pages, mobile problems, and the structure search engines rely on.

Keyword and Competitor Gap

The terms your customers actually search, who ranks for them in your area right now, and the gap between what those businesses publish and what you do.

Local Presence Check

Your Google Business Profile, categories, service areas, reviews and listings, checked against the businesses winning the map results near you.

Content Review

What your pages say against what buyers are searching for, which of your pages compete with each other, and where the obvious missing pages are.

HOW THE AUDIT RUNS

From first call to action list

Around two weeks from start to finish, and you are not chasing me for updates. The first conversation is free. The audit starts once you decide to go ahead.

WHY NORTHVIEW

The audit is where the work starts

A free audit is a sales document. It finds just enough to justify a proposal and stops there. This one is scoped and paid because it is the first stage of the engagement rather than a pitch for it: the findings become the plan, and the plan is what I work through with you month by month.

If the honest answer is that your site is fine and the money is better spent elsewhere, you get told that too.

HOW IT WORKS

A fixed scope, quoted up front

SEO Audit

A fixed-scope piece of work with a defined deliverable. You get the findings, the evidence behind them and the priority order, set up so the fixes can begin as soon as you give the go-ahead.

Quoted before we start

Audit then ongoing SEO

For businesses that want the fixes carried out rather than handed over. The audit sets the priority order, then the work runs month to month so it compounds instead of stalling.

FAQS

Questions about the SEO audit

What do I actually receive

A written report with prioritized findings, the evidence behind each one, and a recommended order of work, plus a call to go through it together. It is written for a business owner, not for another SEO.

What happens after the audit

We go through the findings on a call, agree what gets fixed first, and start working down the list in priority order. The audit is built as the opening stage of ongoing work rather than a document that gets filed, so the fixes begin instead of waiting for someone else to pick them up.

How long does it take

Around two weeks in most cases. It can land sooner on a smaller site, and it can run longer where the site is large or the market is competitive. I will tell you which one you are before we start.

Do I need an audit if my site is new

Usually not. A site built in the last year or two with no traffic history has very little to audit. That is a conversation about SEO Services or Google Ads instead, and I would rather say so than sell you a report.
