Maine Web Design Services: Laying the Foundation for Your Business

Home Learn Digital Edge Maine Web Design Services: Laying the Foundation for Your Business

Your website is more than a digital presence. It is the foundation your business is found on, judged on and called from. My Maine web design services cover the whole job: a custom WordPress site, built mobile first, set up to rank in local search, and looked after every month so it keeps working long after launch.

There is nothing to pay up front. Websites are a monthly plan with hosting, updates, backups, security and your edits included, so the price you see is the price you pay.

What every NorthView website includes

Every plan is built on the same foundation. These are not add-ons you discover later. They are part of every site I build and look after.

Design

Custom WordPress design

Planned around your services, your towns and the customers you want calling. Built on WordPress, so it is yours to keep.

Web design and development

Mobile

Built for phones first

Most local searches happen on a phone. Every page is designed for a small screen first, with a tappable phone number.

Mobile-first design

Search

SEO groundwork from day one

Page titles, headings, schema, a submitted sitemap and Search Console are set up before launch.

SEO-optimized websites

Speed

Fast pages

Slow pages lose visitors before they read a word. Images, code and hosting are tuned so pages load quickly.

Speed and performance

Leads

Built to turn visits into calls

One clear next step on every page, short forms that deliver, and proof near the ask.

Conversion-focused design

Care

Hosting, security and edits included

Hosting, SSL, updates, off-site backups, security and uptime monitoring and your edits are part of the monthly price.

Website management

Website plans and pricing

Three ways to start, depending on how your business wins work. Brochure and Growth sites are fixed monthly prices. Custom builds are scoped and quoted in writing before anything starts.

Brochure Site or Growth Site?

A Brochure Site suits a business that mainly needs to look credible to people who already heard about it. A Growth Site is built to bring in new work from Google, with a page for each service and each town you serve. You can start with a Brochure Site and upgrade to Growth later without rebuilding anything.

Monthly plan or a one-time build?

A one-time build looks cheaper on a quote until you add hosting, updates and the hourly edits that come after it. A monthly plan spreads all of that into one price, with nothing down. Here is how the two compare over the first three years, using the typical figures from my guide to small business website costs.

What you pay over three years

Total spent, month by month, on a typical upfront build compared with a NorthView Brochure Site.

  • NorthView Brochure Site, $175 a month
  • Upfront build, $4,000 plus $100 a month care

Example figures. The upfront build uses the typical $4,000 build and $100 a month care from my website cost guide. On these numbers the two totals meet in the fifth year, and the Brochure Site never needs a large payment up front.

How a website project works

Four stages, with your sign-off at each one. You are never waiting on a project manager, and you always know what happens next.

1
Start

Discovery and strategy

We talk through your services, the towns you serve and the customers you want calling. You send your logo, photos of your work and a list of services. I draft the content and you fix what I got wrong.

2
Design

Design and build

I design and build the site on WordPress, mobile first, with one clear next step on every page. You review it and sign off before anything goes live.

3
Before launch

SEO and performance

Page titles, descriptions, headings, schema, a submitted sitemap and Search Console are set up, and the pages are tuned to load fast.

4
Launch

Launch and ongoing support

Brochure sites usually go live two to four weeks after we start. From then on, hosting, updates, backups, security and your edits are handled for you.

Why Maine businesses choose NorthView for web design

Custom web design fit to your business

No two businesses are the same, and your website should not read like everyone else’s. Your site is planned around the services you sell, the towns you serve and the customers you want calling, then written in plain language that sounds like you. If your current site is holding you back, a website redesign starts with an audit of what is working and what is not.

An outdated website layout alongside a modern redesigned version

UX and SEO built in from the start

A good-looking website is only the beginning. Every site is built for how people actually use it and how Google actually reads it:

WordPress you own and can grow

I build on WordPress because you own it and it is portable. The design, content and images are yours, and you can edit pages yourself in the same visual editor I use, or just email me the change. As the business grows you can add pages, add services, or move from a Brochure Site to a Growth Site without starting over.

Ongoing website management and digital marketing

A website is a long-term investment, and launch day is the start of the work, not the end. Website management keeps your site updated, backed up, monitored and secure as part of the monthly price. When you are ready for more, the same person can run your SEO, reviews, Google Ads and social media.

Results for Maine businesses

Eight years of building and looking after websites for businesses across Maine. Client names stay private, but the work itself is on the projects and results page.

Add SEO and review management when you are ready

Every website launches with the on-page SEO groundwork in place. Ongoing SEO is a separate plan you can add whenever you want more work from search.

Questions about Maine web design services

How much does a website cost with NorthView?

A Brochure Site is $175 a month and a Growth Site is $275 a month. There is no setup fee and nothing down, with a twelve-month minimum and then month to month. Custom websites are quoted per project after the scope is agreed in writing.

Do I have to pay anything up front?

No. There is no setup fee and no deposit. Your first monthly payment is due when the project starts.

How long does it take to build a website?

Brochure Sites usually launch two to four weeks after we start. Growth Sites take a little longer because of the service and location pages, and custom builds are scheduled once the scope is agreed. Content sets the pace more than anything else.

Do I own my website?

Yes. The design, content and images are yours, and the site is built on WordPress so it can be moved to any standard host. Your domain stays registered in your name.

What do you need from me to get started?

Your logo if you have one, photos of your work, a list of your services and the areas you serve. I draft the content and you correct it.

Can I edit the website myself?

Yes. You can edit pages in the same visual editor I use, or email me the change and I will make it. Your edits are included in the monthly price.

I already have a website. Can you improve it?

Yes. A redesign starts with an audit of what is working and what is holding the site back, and it is then billed at the Brochure or Growth rate, or quoted as a custom project.

Ready to talk about your website?

If you are starting from scratch, outgrowing an old site, or tired of a website that never produces a call, let us talk. One conversation, no obligation, and you will know exactly which plan fits and what it costs before anything starts.
